A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide, driven by her fear of ants in the Sangareddy district of Telangana.
According to reports, the victim suffered from a medical condition called myrmecophobia, which is the fear of ants since childhood. She also attended counselling sessions at a hospital in Macherial for treatment.
According to police reports, the woman dropped her three-year-old daughter ar her relative's place, whom she was to pick up after cleaning the house, while her husband was also at work. The woman took the extreme step when she was alone in the house.
Upon returning home in the evening, her husband found the door locked from the inside. On breaking open the door with the help of neighbours, he found his wife hanging.
A suicide note was recovered, which read, "Sri
