The Rutgers University wrestling team will get its first significant test of the dual-meet season Saturday, Nov. 8 when it takes on Navy at 3:30 p.m. at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pa.
The match is part of Journeymen’s WrangleMania event and will be streamed live on FloWrestling.
The Scarlet Knights (3-0), ranked No. 14 by intermatwrestle.com, opened the season last Sunday by routing Centenary 44-0, Gardner-Webb 37-5 and Bloomsburg (38-2) in a quad-meet at Jersey Mike’s Arena.
Rutgers won 28 of the 30 bouts and had five pins, five major decisions and seven technical falls.
Graduate student Joey Olivieri (141) had two of the pins. Junior Max Hermes (157), redshirt freshman Nate Blanchette (174) and junior Damian Weaver (184) also had pins.
