Drivers born before 1956 have been urged by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to complete a straightforward online procedure. The DVLA has issued a reminder to motorists aged 70 and above that their licence renewal may be due.
This stems from the requirement for drivers aged 70 and over to renew their licences every three years, which is considerably more frequent than the 10-year renewal cycle for younger motorists. Thankfully, this service comes at no charge and shouldn't consume much of your time.
