Pune: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has issued a show-cause notice to its Pune-based state spokesperson, Rupali Patil Thombare, for her remarks against State Women’s Commission Chairperson and NCP women’s wing president, Rupali Chakankar.
The notice, signed by NCP State Organisation General Secretary Sanjay Khodke, stated that Thombre’s comments amounted to a breach of party discipline. She has been asked to submit an explanation within seven days, failing which disciplinary action will be taken against her.
The development comes after Thombre, along with several women’s groups, protested in Pune against the State Women’s Commission’s alleged inaction in the suicide case of a woman doctor from Satara. She had demanded the resig
