Another college season has begun, and SEC women's basketball is once again loaded with some of the best teams in the nation with five teams ranked in the top 10 of preseason polls.

The SEC went 27-1 in the opening week. Tennessee was the only team to take a loss, but the Lady Vols were also the only team to open the season with a top-10 matchup.

Rankings based on games as of Nov. 7.

1. South Carolina (2-0)

What to know: Dawn Staley's dynasty has reached the point she gets to blow out teams coached by her former assistants to open the season. Legendary.

2. LSU (2-0)

What to know: I'm just as tired of talking about this every season in nonconference play as you. But LSU beating up some of the worst teams in the country is getting hard to watch.

3. Texas (2-0)

What to know: Madi
