The Government of India and representatives of Kuki-Zo armed groups under the Suspension of Operation (SoO) framework,the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and the United People’s Front (UPF), held high-level talks in New Delhi on November 6 and 7, centering on the community’s demand for a Union Territory with a Legislative Assembly.

The talks, facilitated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), were led by A.K. Mishra, Advisor (North East) to the MHA, while senior leaders represented the KNO and UPF.
