HANOVERTON, Ohio (WKBN) – The United girls’ basketball program seeks more success in 2025-26.
Led by a pair of All-League sophomore post players – Maelee Smith (12.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.0 spg) and Raegan Good (7.0 ppg, 4.4 rpg) – coach Cory Leek likes what he has in regards to his foundation along with senior Marin Stryffeler and junior guard McKenzie Cope back in the mix as well.
“We have four returning lettermen, along with a couple of underclassmen that are ready to play,” coach Leek mentioned. “We’re very young, but have some experience [returning]. Our post play and our team defense will be our strengths this season.”
The Golden Eagles will welcome newcomers – junior Ines Viela Rego as well as freshmen Bella Thompson and Danika Anderson.
The season gets underway on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at
