Patna: A video showing Samastipur MP Shambhavi Chaudhary flaunting ink marks on fingers of both hands went viral and triggered a furore after she voted in the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections on November 6.

On Saturday, the Patna district administration cleared the ‘mystery’ behind the ink marks on two fingers.

Calling it a mistake by the polling staff, the district administration said that the person responsible for applying ink had mistakenly applied it to the finger of the right hand.
