OMAHA, Neb. — Louisville’s community is still reeling from a tragic plane crash south of the city's international airport on Tuesday.
The death toll has climbed to 14 people. Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said the latest victim was found at the crash site Friday evening.
Gov. Andy Beshear exclusively spoke one-on-one with WHAS11’s Isaiah Kim-Martinez prior to stepping on stage at a Democratic gala in Nebraska.
The governor said it’s been a difficult tragedy, but the community remains resilient.
“I think we’re close to being able to fully mourn as a community,” Beshear said. “I’m already seeing people come together to support these families because we got to carry their grief, not just for the next couple days, but for the week, months and years to follow.”
