HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud won't be on the field when his team faces the Jacksonville Jaguars in an AFC South clash at NRG Stadium.
Stroud was ruled out Wednesday with a concussion after a hard hit and slamming his head on the ground during the Texans' loss to the Denver Broncos last week.
Davis Mills is the next man up to lead the offense in Stroud's place.
Stroud is not the only starter who's out.
The Texans will be without safety Jalen Pitre, right tackle Tytus Howard, kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn and right guard Ed Ingramon.
It's all just one week after star wide receiver Nico Collins returned from a concussion.
In Week 10 now, the Texans host the Jaguars during the Salute to Service game in honor of those who served our country.
