An 18-year-old North Bay resident faces several charges after police stopped the vehicle travelling 96 km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone.
North Bay Ontario Provincial Police officers made the traffic stop Oct. 26 around 1:15 a.m. on Highway 654.
“Upon speaking with the driver, officers detected signs of alcohol consumption. The individual was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing,” stated OPP.
As a result of the investigation, Cole Bolger, 18, from North Bay, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), speeding – 36 km/h over post limit and drive motor vehicle no plates.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice
