Portion of N. 24th Street will be closed next week for street repairs

QUINCY — A portion of North 24th Street will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday.

As part of the Cherry Street reconstruction project, North 24th Street from Chestnut to Cedar will be closed to allow crews to work on the water main connection in the intersection of 24th and Cherry.

Detours will be posted to divert traffic to North 30th using Chestnut and Locust streets during the closure.

Weather permitting, this closure is expected to last through 5 p.m. on Friday. Drivers are advised to follow the marked detour or use alternate routes during this closure, and are reminded to drive carefully near any work zone.
