Firefighters extinguished a fast-moving and destructive fire tore that through a row of commercial buildings in an L.A. neighborhood early Saturday morning.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that, around 5 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 2311 Southwest Drive in Hyde Park for a “major emergency fire.”

Several adjacent commercial buildings were found ablaze when firefighters got to the scene, LAFD indicated in an emergency alert.

A spokesperson for the department confirmed more details to KTLA, stating that crews immediately went into “an offensive mode with very aggressive fire attack.”
