A 17-year-old Warren boy was shot at a Harper Woods High School football game Friday night.
The victim was shot in his lower torso, Harper Woods Police Chief Jason Hammerle said in a release. He was treated at the scene by the Harper Woods Fire Department and taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening wound, Hammerle said.

A large fight broke out in the parking lot minutes before the game ended despite the presence of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State Police. Law enforcement from the Grosse Pointes and St. Clair Shores also helped secure the scene and disperse the crowd.
