Major grant from Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community

A Scottsdale-area nonprofit that helps families fight homelessness recently received a substantial grant.

Family Promises of Greater Phoenix received $45,000 from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, according to a press release. The grant will help the nonprofit, which operates for Family Day Centers - including two in Scottsdale - provide additional shelter, food, case management, childcare, financial training, employment support to families struggling with homelessness in the valley.
