This generation of Brockville Collegiate Institute students is making sure the ones that came before them are never forgotten.

As part of the school’s Remembrance Day initiatives, upper-grade BCI history students have created a display at the front of their school that shows all the veterans of the First and Second World War who attended the school in the past.

“We’re the only school in Brockville that is old enough to have WWI and WWII veterans attend our school,” said history teacher Karen McKerlich, who led this initiative. “We wanted our students to learn about these men who fought for our country.”

Before the project expanded to the outside display, an indoor display was made just inside the school’s entrance last year.
