LAS CRUCES, N.M. —
One man is dead and a suspect is in custody after a double shooting occurred Saturday in Las Cruces.
According to a Las Cruces police spokesperson, the shooting took place in the parking lot of Whiskey Dicks bar, located on the 100 block of East Union Avenue.
Police say a 28-year-old man and a 37-year-old man got into a fight in the parking lot. The 37-year-old eventually armed himself with a gun and shot the 28-year-old. Later, an unknown suspect shot the 37-year-old. That person left the scene and is being sought by police.
The 28-year-old died from his injuries at a local hospital. The 37-year-old is also hospitalized and is in police custody.
