Perrysburg City Council has hired Kentucky-based Environmental Rate Consultants Inc. for $121,150 for a water and sewer rate study.
It will ensure Perrysburg’s water and sewer systems remain financially stable, meet state and federal environmental requirements, and support future growth while protecting the Maumee River, according to Casey Kenworthy, public information officer for Perrysburg.
It will also help the city determine the best way to fund improvements required by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency without placing an undue burden on residents, he said.
The rate study will give the department of public utilities a data-driven financial plan to guide the next five years. It will evaluate the costs of operations, maintenance, and planned improvements; ensure water and sewer
