Speeding (mandatory court), driving without a license: Solon Road

A patrol officer stopped a Hyundai Elantra going 57 mph in a 35-mph zone at 10 p.m. Nov. 1. Police then found that the driver, a Caracas, Venezuela man, 30, with a current address in Cleveland, had no operator’s license or temporary learner’s permit.

He produced several documents from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), indicating deportation hearings dating back to 2022 and another hearing later this month.

As a result, police sent a query to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), where an agent was unable to confirm the man’s current status through a supervisor at that time.
