The University of Southern California’s Department of Public Safety is warning students and residents living near campus to be on alert after receiving several reports of a man impersonating a building management representative to gain access to homes.

According to DPS, the suspect has been approaching residences on the 1100 block of 28th Street and the 2600 block of Orchard Avenue, claiming he needed to enter to fix a water leak.
