Srinagar, Nov 8: Two unidentified terrorists were killed after the Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Saturday.
Army spokesman said that a joint operation was launched on Friday (November 7) following specific intelligence inputs from security agencies about a possible infiltration attempt in the sector.
“Alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged the infiltrators, who opened indiscriminate fire. In the ensuing exchange, two terrorists were neutralised,” he said.
The Army added that a search operation in the area was continuing to ensure no further infiltration had taken place.
The latest incident comes weeks after a similar infiltration bid was foiled
