JONESBORO — The Clayton County Superior Court Clerk’s Office is seeking qualified residents to serve on the Clayton County Board of Equalization.
The Board of Equalization hears property tax appeal cases to ensure that all property is assessed fairly and uniformly. Members play a vital role in protecting property owners’ rights and maintaining public confidence in the property tax system.
The application deadline is Dec. 19.

Qualifications:
• Be at least 18.
• Own real property in Clayton County.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have no felony convictions or crimes of moral turpitude.
• Complete 40 hours of state-certified training before serving.
• Complete 8 hours of continuing education annually, as required by the Georgia Department of Revenue.
