A fatal crash approximately one mile south of Montgomery has claimed the life of a Montgomery man this weekend, officials confirmed on Saturday.
At about 10:08 a.m. on Nov. 7, 37-year-old Kyle W. Temple's Ford F-250 pickup stuck a 2022 International tractor trailer being driven by Montgomery resident Nathan C. Griggs, 58, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman Jeremy Burkett.
The initial impact at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Pyramid Avenue caused both vehicles to burst into flames, Burkett said.
Burkett said that Griggs was pronounced dead on the scene, but Temple, a Prattville resident, was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is still investigating the crash.
