GLOVERSVILLE - Santa Claus will be the star of the Gloversville Christmas parade and tree lighting at 5 p.m. Dec. 6.

The parade, sponsored by the Gloversville Recreation Commission, steps off at North Main Street and 8th Avenue and ends at Forest and Vine streets. From there, people can walk to Wandel Park for cookies, cocoa, music and a visit from the jolly old elf, who will be available for photos with kids.
