CARMEL – Along the Westfield sideline inside Carmel Stadium, a flagbearer prominently displayed the Shamrocks’ intentions during the Class 6A Sectional 3 championship game on Friday night.

“Don’t Give Up the Ship!” the flag blared in white lettering etched on contrasting blue cloth.

“Our guys like weekly themes. Just a little playoff motto,” Westfield coach Josh Miracle explained.
