Staten Island HS football: St. Peter’s grinds out win vs. St. John the Baptist in CHSFL AA

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— It’s safe to say the St. Peter’s offense owes the Eagles’ defense and special teams a meal this coming week.

Despite coughing up the ball four times against St. John the Baptist on Saturday, the Brighton squad still pulled out a 14-0 CHSFL AA-1 quarterfinal win—thanks to a smothering defensive effort (11 tackles for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an INT) to go along with a clutch kick-return touchdown.
