The NFL will honor fallen Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland across its stadiums on Sunday.
Kneeland, 24, is said to have taken his own life after leading police on a chase in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday night. Police reported having found his body with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a portable toilet after he crashed and ditched his car.
The league has sent a memo to all teams to request a moment of silence ahead of Sunday’s slate of games, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
A message reading “If you or someone you know is struggling or needs emotional support, please call or text 988. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24-7 to help,” will also be displayed after the moment of silence.
