Auburn fell to Vanderbilt 45-38 in overtime on Saturday, giving interim head coach DJ Durkin a heartbreaking loss in his first game in charge.
The game ended up being shootout, as both teams traded scores in the second half. Diego Pavia and Ashton Daniels were both impressive, but Pavia did just enough to get the win.
With the loss, Auburn is now 4-6 on the season and 1-6 in SEC play. Durkin is set to address the media shortly to recap the game.

Durkin said Auburn’s defense didn’t respond well to Vanderbilt going tempo in the second half.
