An argument in Chinatown escalated into a gunshot being fired this morning, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
HPD patrol officers responded to the 100 N. Beretania St. block near the Chinese Cultural Plaza at about 10:15 a.m. after reports of a gunshot and several masked individuals fleeing on foot. An investigation reveled that an argument led to a person discharging a firearm, police said.
No injuries were reported, according to HPD, which has opened a reckless endangering investigation.
