CLEMSON — Clemson finally won a home game with a 24-10 victory on Nov. 8 over Florida State.
The Tigers (4-5, 3-4 ACC) had lost six straight contests at Memorial Stadium versus power conference teams, which matched a six-game drought from 1970-71. But the clumsy Seminoles (4-5, 1-5) became Clemson’s first power-conference victim in Death Valley since Virginia on Oct. 19, 2024.
FSU was just 2-of-4 in the red zone, fumbling it away on one possession and missing a 39-yard field goal on another. Combine that with several drops and misfired passes, and the Seminoles tripped themselves up mightily.
But the Tigers did what they needed to do, as well. Clemson’s offense gained 319 yards, while the defense racked up six sacks and nine tackles for loss.
