BEMIDJI — After Friday night’s 4-1 win over Lake Superior State, Bemidji State head coach Tom Serratore referenced the Beavers’ previous game against Bowling Green on the road.

The Falcons let BSU hang around, sitting on a 2-0 lead through two periods. After BGSU took a couple of penalties that led to a pair of Bemidji State power-play goals, Hudson Thornton flipped the script with the overtime winner, snagging two points after they were “left for dead,” according to Serratore.

One week later, the Beavers were on the other side of a similar theme. Nursing a 1-0 lead for the majority of regulation, the Lakers found the tying goal midway through the third period.
