As a large cold front sweeps across the entire Southeast this weekend, the first snowflakes of the season are possible late tonight into Monday morning for the Evansville Tri-state and Kentucky's Pennyrile region.
No significant accumulations or travel impacts are anticipated from the flurries or light snow showers in that area.
For the rest of western Kentucky and southern Illinois, a slight chance of rain showers after noon today will give way to sunshine and a high of 45. Northwest winds will gust over 20 miles per hour.
The low Monday mornng will dip to around 25.
Winds will continue to gust all day Monday and Veterans Day Tuesday. Monday's high will barely pass 40, and Tuesday at 53.
Temperatures will rebound to 65 on Wednesday, and back near 70 by Friday.
