SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Michigan — Michigan's first taste of winter brought with it power outages for thousands in southwest Michigan.
As of 6:40 a.m. Sunday morning, more than 2,000 people are without power in St. Joseph, Kalamazoo, Cass and Berrien counties.
Indiana and Michigan Power, the electricity provider for much of southwest Michigan, reports over 1,700 customers without power.
Consumers Energy, which provides electricity for much of West Michigan, reports over 700 customers without power in Kalamazoo and St. Joseph counties.
Neither utility has provided estimated restoration times as of the time of publication.
