Brandon Carter will never forget Start High School’s football win over St. John’s Jesuit in 1997.

Or the teammates and coaches he had during his time with the Spartans that led him to becoming a hall of famer.

Carter, who excelled in football and track at Start before playing cornerback at the University of Toledo and getting into coaching, was among several individuals who were inducted into the Toledo City League athletics hall of fame. The former Spartan great was honored during the hall of fame banquet on Monday.
