More victims of an apartment rental scam are being sought by Los Angeles authorities.
In a statement issued Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the suspect in the case used victims’ personal identification information to fraudulently rent apartments.
He was known to have applied to rent two apartments in Hollywood and Larchmont this past September, LAPD said.
“The suspect used other individuals’ personal identification information to complete rental applications and provided counterfeit cashier’s checks to property management companies as part of the process,” police added.
While the suspect was not named, authorities did release a photo of him indicating he is a Black man with dreadlocks and a beard or goatee.
Per LAPD, the man is also known as “Igor."
