Warren County Public Schools will need to stick with a 13-year-old policy for employee use of social media, at least for now.

Assistant Superintendent of Administration Charles Costner presented the latest version of the proposed policy to the School Board at its meeting on Wednesday. The policy as proposed covers the use of social media by employees to communicate with students.

But Costner advised board members that staff wanted to take more time to draft an update. Board Chairwoman Kristen J. Pence, Vice Chairwoman Antoinette D. Funk and members Andrea M. Lo, Thomas J. McFadden Jr., and Melanie C. Salins attended the meeting and, rather than take action on the proposed policy update, allowed Costner to keep working on the update.
