At 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch valid from Monday 6 p.m. until Tuesday 6 p.m. for Warren County.
"Heavy lake effect snow possible. Accumulations of 6 inches or more possible," explains the weather service. "There will be light snow tonight and Monday with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches by sunset Monday. However, the period of heaviest snowfall will be Monday night and Tuesday when more than 6 inches could fall."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," adds the weather service. "During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weat
