On Sunday at 1:18 p.m. the National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory valid from Monday 1 p.m. until Tuesday 1 p.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges.

The weather service states to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph."

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes," describes the weather service. "Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways.
