An alleged hit-and-run driver was arrested on Saturday following a crash in Brick Township that left a teenager hospitalized, authorities said.
The vehicle struck a 15-year-old boy who was riding an electric bike and making a left-hand turn onto Midstreams Road from Midstreams Place in Brick Township at about 10:55 p.m. on Saturday night, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said in a press release.
Billhimer said the vehicle failed to stop and continued traveling west after the crash.
Police officers saw William Donohoe, 43, walking toward the scene from a “significant distance” away when they responded to the incident, according to the release. They later identified Donohoe as the driver of the vehicle that left the scene.
