The Texas Tech football team dominated BYU 29-7 on Saturday, but it wasn't quite enough to move up very high in the national rankings.
The Red Raiders (9-1, 6-1) moved up one spot in the US LBM Coaches Poll, released Sunday, coming in at No. 8 after being ranked ninth last week. The rest of the top seven spots in the poll were unchanged from last week after everybody else also won their games this week.
BYU dropped for No. 8 to No. 12 in the Coaches Poll with Utah (15th) and Cincinnati (22nd) being the only other Big 12 Conference teams to appear in the poll.
The Top 7 in the Coaches Poll are Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Ole Miss being ranked ahead of Texas Tech.
Texas Tech also moved up to No. 8 in the Associated Press Top 25. BYU dropped to No. 1
