As the first segment of the Niagara Five Pin Mixed Pro League season winds down to its last two weeks, the standings are tightening up.

Just as last week, there were a number of close matches, the closest — decided by eight pins — saw the Fiddler’s Pourhouse Fighting Irish edge the Back2Health Backcrackers 2-1.

The Fighting Irish were led by Tyler Wendel, who has found his groove with an excellent 836 (259, 311, 266). Jeff Stevens added 698 (259, 239) and Ryan Dixon added 670 (233, 224, 213).

The Backcrackers were led by Vicky Robins, who will be the first to tell you that she is having a slow start to her season.
