WASHINGTON — A house fire in DC has left seven people, including three children, without a place to live on Sunday.
DC Fire and EMS crews were called to the 500 block of Atlantic Street Southeast for a report of a fire just before 4 a.m. When firefighters got to the scene, they found flames coming from a second-floor bedroom. Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Four adults and three children were displaced, firefighters said. The Red Cross is assisting them. Additional details have not been released.
