RICHMOND, Vt. (WCAX) - The Cochran Ski & Ride Sale wrapped up today as people prepare for the winter season.
This marks the 51st year of the sale, with all proceeds helping fund the Cochran ski team. Ski team representatives at the event at Camel’s Hump Middle School said hundreds of people got their gear on Saturday.
Their goal is to make ski racing more affordable and accessible for kids who want to try the sport.
“By 8 o’clock we had people waiting at the door around the parking lot. We had people parking off site because we filled up the lot and then for the first four hours it was just like elbow to elbow people,” said Matthew Dransfield of Richmond.
People who donated gear that didn’t sell can return to pick it up or choose to donate it.
