In a major security operation near Delhi, the Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered 300 kg of RDX, an AK-47 rifle, and several rounds of ammunition from Faridabad, Haryana. This significant seizure came just days after the arrest of Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather, a Kashmiri doctor from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, accused of putting up posters supporting the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed in Srinagar. According to police sources, the Faridabad recovery was made based on information revealed during Dr. Rather’s interrogation. The explosives were reportedly kept with another doctor, Mujahil Shakeel, who is now under investigation.
Earlier, police had also found an AK-47 rifle and ammunition in a locker belonging to Dr. Rather at the Government Medical College, Anantnag. Authorities are now probing deeper
