The National Weather Service released a lake effect snow warning at 2:07 a.m. on Monday valid from 10 a.m. until Tuesday 1 p.m. for Warren County.
"Heavy lake effect snow expected. Accumulations of 6 inches or more possible," comments the weather service. "There will be light snow during the day today with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches by sunset. However, the majority of snowfall is expected to fall between Monday night and late Tuesday morning."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes," adds the weather service. "During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly.
