Fake photographs of the Huntingdon train attack on November 1 have been described as genuine by AI tools. According to fact-checking charity Full Fact, and reported by PA, X's AI chatbot Grok told users one image of an injured man lying in a carriage was not AI-generated.

The text on the clothes of police officers and paramedics is garbled, and the photo incorporates a stylised filter. The train depicted also has a different style of seating to the one involved in the attack, while an X account that posted the image appears to confirm it was made using AI.
