A four-vehicle collision has sparked long delays on the A1M.

The A1M in South Yorkshire is closed southbound between J37 ( Doncaster ) and J36 (Warmsworth) following a collision involving four vehicles. As a result of the collision, there's a spillage of oil and lots of debris across the carriageway.

Diversion route

National Highways are advising drivers to take an alternative route.

Road users are advised to follow the Solid Circle diversion symbol on road signs, it said. The route is as follows:

Exit the A1M J37.

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A635 and proceed along this road for approximately 1 mile to the junction with the A638.

At the junction, turn right on
