One never has to work too hard to find John 5 playing on a hit album.

A guitarist’s guitarist, 5 -- born John Lowery in suburban Detroit -- has been logged tenures with Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and, currently, Mötley Crüe. Both 5 and Richie Kotzen will perform Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Lorain Palace Theatre .

And that’s on top of his many session credits writing and playing for Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rod Stewart, Sebastian Bach, Scorpions, David Lee Roth, Halestorm and Kiss members Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley -- just to name a few.

(He also has an extensive collection of Kiss memorabilia he displayed publicly this year as the Knights in Satan’s Service Museum.)

And it’s not all hard rock; 5 has also lent his chops to recordings by Dolly Parton, Ricky Martin, k.d
