Brunswick, Ohio (WOIO) - Northeast Ohio experienced its first snowfall of the season, just as the 19 First Alert Weather Team predicted a week ago.

What began in Medina County and other communities as rain, turned to a wintery mix, and as the temperature dropped -- so did the snow.

In Brunswick we found people who were loading up on their groceries, just in case.

19 News asked one woman why she came out in this mess, “Because we’re crazy and we’re last minute on a Sunday to get things before the storm. I hear it’s going to be kind of bad, so good to get it out of the way.”

Another woman who says she is a nurse by trade, was filling up the gas tank of her truck saying she has to get to make it to work because others are depending on her.
