A Coventry drug dealer who was caught with £1,000 worth of cocaine and stolen bank cards has been jailed. Ionut Alexandru was caught red-handed in Cannock.

Police stopped Alexandru in August while he was sitting in a car on Noble Road. When the 22-year-old was told he was going to be searched, he admitted to being in possession of drugs.

Several bags containing cocaine were found inside the car, as well as a mobile phone and £160. Messages on the phone indicated it was being used to advertise the sale of the drugs.

Police revealed that the drugs Alexandru had been carrying were worth approximately £1,050. When his Coventry home was searched, 33 bank cards in various names and 21 smartphones were found.
